The Greater Detroit Agency for the Blind and Visually Impaired relies on generous community support to fulfill its mission of providing no-cost services that foster independence, dignity and overall well-being for individuals of all ages who are blind or visually impaired.
We offer a variety of ways for you to support our mission through donations
Through our web site
Use our online form to donate a one-time or memorial gift. Funds are processed by PayPal, but you don't need a PayPal account to donate.
By mail
Send a check or money order payable to GDABVI to: GDABVI, 26777 Central Park Blvd., Suite 150, Southfield, MI 48076
Facebook Fundraiser
From your homepage, click on the house icon at the top and then, click Fundraisers on the left side. In the Raise Money box, click Select Nonprofit and type in Greater Detroit Agency for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Kroger Community Rewards
Go to Kroger Community Rewards to sign up and start Kroger donations that support GDABVI when you shop for groceries. From there, all you have to do is use your Kroger Plus Card when you shop.
You'll need to renew your commitment May 1st of every year.
Annual minimum contribution
If you're fortunate enough to not need your annual minimum distribution, we would welcome your funds as a gift to our mission.
"Your required minimum distribution is the minimum amount you must withdraw from your account each year. You generally have to start taking withdrawals from your IRA, SEP IRA, SIMPLE IRA, or retirement plan account when you reach age 72. Roth IRAs do not require withdrawals until after the death of the owner." (See IRS.gov)
